The Palm Springs area’s exciting resort lifestyle has something for everyone. The Desert offers everything from its 120 golf courses, great art exhibits, children's museum, casinos, concerts and theater to nationally acclaimed attractions like the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, the Pacific Life Open Tennis Masters Tournament, the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic PGA tournament, the Kraft Nabisco LPGA golf tournament, the Living Desert Zoo and Botanical Gardens, the Palm Springs Air Museum and the world renown Palm Springs Film Festival.

Current population of the Valley is above 415,000 with the Valley’s average age being 37. Projections estimate a population of near 600,000 in a few short years.

Educational opportunities have expanded with the California State University’s newest campus located in Palm Desert and the University of California, Riverside's Richard J. Heckmann International Center for Entrepreneurial Management campus. This is in addition to the College of the Desert's recent $350 million expansion.

Because the Valley boasts the best climate anywhere in the United States, with approximately 330 days of sunshine annually, tourism is a major source of revenue with 3.5 million tourists and conventioneers visiting annually.
